Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a serious mental health problem, and it can happen to anyone. It doesn’t mean that you are weak or that you will deal with the symptoms the rest of your life. PTSD can even affect children. Knowing what symptoms to look for in you, your spouse, or your children is why Dr. Meeker talked with Victor Marx about how he overcame his traumatic upbringing that caused him to deal with PTSD. Victor is an expert martial artist, former U.S. Marine, filmmaker and a sought after speaker. Victor is the founding director of the non-profit organization, All Things Possible, which works on a global scale to free children from abuse and the effects of its trauma. Also in this episode, Dr. Meg gives you her points to ponder to begin using right away and answers a question from a mom about her husband wanting to leave her and their unborn son and from another mother about her three-year-old son holding back stools when not wearing a diaper. Do you have a question for Dr. Meg? If so, email them to askmeg@megmeekermd.comand she could answer your question in an upcoming episode!
